THIS MONTH AT INC-4 OTTAWA, THE PLASTIC HEALTH COUNCIL WILL CONTINUE THE PUSH FOR THE HEALTH SCIENTISTS’ GLOBAL PLASTICS TREATY.

The current UN zero draft treaty, though well intended, simply pays lip service to the known science on plastic and human health impact and there is a danger that the final treaty will have little true impact without it. We are therefore launching an alternative, the treaty that expert global health scientists demand.

The Health Scientists’ Global Plastics Treaty calls for definitive reduction in plastic production, for the eradication of toxic plastic chemicals, for investment in safer materials and for clarity on the unsustainable ‘chemical recycling’ solutions. Read the full Treaty below.

WE HAVE A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO PROTECT THE HEALTH OF FUTURE GENERATIONS. WE CANNOT LET THIS MOMENT GO TO WASTE. AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.
